Voicemail to email

In my case it was never any confusion over what needs to be configured in asterisk. I was wondering what mail program asterisk used and what needed to be configured with it. In my case I had to set up sendmail on my system to relay through our internal mail server.
sendmail.mc was the file I had to modify and SmartHost was what I had to append to.
