Problems attaching a voice device to a line device

The documentation does not provide any method to enable call progress analysis using gc_MakeCall for SpringWare devices. It says only to use gc_GetCallInfo, which reports that media type detection isn't enabled.
I've tried to set real time configuration parameters using gc_SetParm and gc_SetConfigData, but I'm told "bad argument ID" in the first case, and the set ID is said to be out of range in the second case.
When I try to use gc_SetCallProgressParm, the function reports that "the function is not supported".
Is it possible to do CPA with ISDN and routed SpringWare line and voice devices? If so, do I need to use dx_dial instead of gc_MakeCall, which is what I want to use? And if I can use gc_MakeCall, how do I enable CPA?
