PIMG80LS - disconnect issue

The only thing that the circuit side has to detect disconnect is loop current drop or tones.
What are you getting on your line and when are you getting them? What disconnect reason is the IP side getting in the BYE?
I would assume that you should be seeing a LC drop since you are connecting to a CO. Perhaps you are getting it a bit late?
