Enhancement (or changes) for Asian font support

Your explainations are very useful for me, but I still have some
different opions.
About embedment of Unicode TrueType Font, I do really mean not to
embed only some Japanese(or Chinese/Korean) font which are quite
large even for a subset and obviously installed on our target
user's machine. In fact, there is a popular commercial report
software in Japan (WingArc SVF, not based on iText) which can
produce pdf files without embedment of Japanese font. Those pdf
files are not intended to be distributed widely but inside a
local company as a report solution. I think it is better that
iText does not force embedment of Unicode TrueType Font but
give a chance to change.
About output text with an alternate font, your suggestion on
FontSelector is very helpful, but it seems only supporting high
level objects. In my case, PdfContentByte is used to obtain
high performance in a template-based report tool. Is there a
similar mechanic for PdfContentByte?
