The page only says about a plugin, which wouldn't be useful to me.

I apologize for my naivete.

Basically, people keep on coming to me to fix their PDFs.
So far, I have ended up mostly using pdfpages in LaTeX.
I think that if I had it as XML, that would make things
much simpler.  It would also be useful to be able
to extract the JPEGs and other images, since people sometimes use
PDF when they should just have an archive of PNGs or similar.
(Else, I end up rasterizing them with pdftoppm.)
