Will this ever work in MythTV?

Of course, if you meant a version of mythrename.pl from about the same
time period (or any version of mythlink.pl)--such as
http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/browser/trunk/mythtv/contrib/mythrename.pl?rev=7285&format=raw
