XvMC and high CPU usage

Success.
nvidia 5200 (driver 7676), xorg 6.8.2, Suse 10.0
One system has an Athlon XP 3000+, another has the same software
configuration & video card, but with an Athlon XP 1800+.
I ran into prebuffering pause problems once. After some experimentation,
I found that switching from Bob to Kernel deinterlacing eliminated the
pauses.
