Gnome won't log out properly with mythfrontend running

I'm using Ubuntu and if I have the frontend running and try to log out I get a popup saying 'your session has been saved' and it refuses to logout. Myth also jumps to the exit menu. I don't have the save session on logout option ticked in ubuntu and no other apps do this.

Any ideas?
