OpenH323/OPAL & Polycom Accord MCG 100 video

Hi,

I was trying recently to connect to a MCU Polycom Accord MCG 100 (v6.11.3).
Unfortunately, video does not work, as the picture reflected back to me remains black.

I've used the following apps/codecs:

ohphoneX (Mac OS X) (OpenH323 library):
Sending H.261 (VIC codec from OpenH323) does not work. Picture remains black.
Sending H.263 (ffmpeg) does work.

XMeeting.app (Mac OS X) (OPAL library):
Sending H.261 (QuickTime codec) does not work. Picture remains black.
Sending H.263 (QuickTime codec) does not work. I get approximately the first third of the first frame displayed, the rest remains gray or black. The picture is frozen and never updated.

When testing XMeeting.app, the same codecs work on Tandberg devices, other MCU's, Microsoft NetMeeting as well as Polycom PVX. So, there is no doubt that the codecs work and can be decoded.

I have seen that on the Interoperability list on http:// www.salyens.com/interop/index.html, this MCU is listed as not to work with H.263 due to some problems in call setup. So far, I haven't heard anything from Guilhem Tardy, whom I've contacted off-list.

So, my question is: Does anybody know what the exact reasons could be why this stuff doesn't work? And, if yes, is there anything that can be done on the side of OpenH323/OPAL to fix this problem?

Could it have anything to do with the H.245-version? The polycom MCU declares H.245 version 7 while OPAL declares H.245 version 11.

Any information on this subject is appreciated!

Hannes
