Hi ,
Thanks for your help.
Basically I am trying to setup a samba file server where can people can
store their private files in it.
The authentication will be done using ldap.
For example : -
$ smbclient -U <ldap_username> //<samba-server>/homes
Password: ***ldap password **
That is it !
Is it possible to do this, with the below mentioned object classes ?
---------
objectClass: top
objectClass: person
objectClass: organizationalPerson
objectClass: user
objectClass: inetOrgPerson
----------
Do u have any suggestions ?
Thank you,
Dinesh

Greeting Danny,
I have a documentation to install a PDC on Gentoo distrib. This
documentation cover Samba, OpenLDAP, DDNS (with Bind and DHCPD) and
how to manage your domain (users, groups, sharing, sudo on LDAP, etc)
from a Linux or Windows machine. The two bug is that my documentation
is in french only, and not all the document are finish yet (All you
need to build your PDC are ready and fully tested by our team).
A member of the Cybionet team began to wrote the same documentation
(always in french) but for BSD... but the doc is not ready at this time.
