sipXTapi - receiving SUBSCRIBE events

Oh - I get it now.  I'm not supposed to do sipxPublisherCreate in response to a SUBSCRIBE.  Rather, I set up a publisher for every possible combination of SUBSCRIBE URI, eventType and contentType I might ever get in a SUBSCRIBE.  sipXTapi then automatically sends that info out for me.  Ok.

I think I got muddled because I have also been thinking about how I might create a Presence Server.  In the client case I guess I would probably never receive a SUBSCRIBE Uri that wasn't something I registered or knew about before hand...

Ray,

The subscriptions themselves are hidden from you and managed below sipXtapi.  You only have the ability to publish to all the subscription clients.  What would you like to do when someone subscribes?

Subject: [sipX-dev] sipXTapi - receiving SUBSCRIBE events

Anyone have an idea how you use sipXTapi to receive SUBSCRIBE events?  I know how to send them, I see the API

sipxPublisherCreate which will allow me to responed to a SUBSCRIBE request.  However, I don't see anyway

to actally be told I have received a SUBSCRIBE request.  Maybe, I'm missing something but I don't think so...

Can someone in the know let me know what the scoop is?

Ray
