Hanging cgi's with sipxconfig 3.1.2 on centos 4.2

I was on fedora before and to test if something is wrong I did a
scrap all install since I am analysing what could cause bug: XPB-509
which is a complete showstopper for me :)
Had the fedora setup running till yesterday morning without hanging
cgi's
The setup currently has just one phone (IP300) and a asterisk gateway
registered.

Can you give me details to reproduce. Also, are you confident this
is CentOS specfic? Meaning, you did exact same thing on Fedora and
didn't see this?
