Tomcat 5.5 and IPv6 configuration (solved)

Ok, I solved the problem by changing a kernel parameter
# sysctl -w net.inet6.ip6.v6only=0
This enables Tomcat to bind to IPv4 as well as IPv6 addresses. In that case, the shutdown port binds to 127.0.0.1 (it is not important to me that this is a IPv4 address) and the other ports bind to whatever I like - including IPv6 addresses.
