Managing custom changes through Trac upgrades

What OS / distribution are you using? I'm on Debian, and I make patches
against my "current" Trac version, put them in debian/patches/, then
"svn update" Trac and check if the patches still apply cleanly.
I can give you a little more detail if you're on Debian too.
