A quick update: I got a first answer to my ticket which says that
access to the repository from the web servers is not allowed for
performance and security reasons. The ticket has been converted
into a feature request, but I wouldn't expect any change soon --
while they provide pretty good service in general, they don't
change features easily (which is probably rather smart when you run
something this size :-) ).
So unless there is some way to get trac to work with the
repostitory via https access this is the end of the trac on SF
story for now :-(
Copy the repo to somewhere Trac can access. Trac can't make any
changes to it anyway -- so it's fine if it's read-only or gets
overwritten by an rsync/svn up every n minutes.
