Greetings to All
I have a problem with my Creative Vista Plus webcam. I am using spca5xx
driver for the webcam from Michael Xhaard. The camera is working fine with
the driver on my linux desktop. But the same driver I am using for another
platform,a OMAP5912 board. and on the board, /dev/video does not appear.
And running cross compiled spcaview gives
Using video device /dev/video0.
Initializing v4l.
ERROR opening V4L interface
: No such file or directory
Also when I am insmoding the cross compiled spca5xx.o the message on the
hyperterm is
Using /opt/spca5xx.o
usb.c: registered new driver ðG-éÝPÐåÐMâ
drivers/usb/spca5xx.c: spca5xx driver 00.57.09rc2 registered
Why is the driver name not printed properly from usb.c? Is it because I am
doing a mistake and the driver is not inserted properly in the kernel?
Also while disconnecting the webcam from usb port, I get a kernel oops
that reads:
usb.c: USB disconnect on device usb-ohci-1 address 2
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address
