OK, it's a genuine LifeView Platinum Mini, not even an OEM rebadged job. 
Card=54 is the wrong choice then, that'd be the PCI card for desktop PCs. 

Autodetect should take you to card=39. It should be working perfectly fine 
then. If it isn't auto-detected, then you need to update your v4l drivers.
