saa7134 TV Tuner card audio problems

I'm hoping that someone out there can help me with
this. I've got a fairly generic Philips TV tuner
card. So far I've found that the card is #34 and the
tuner is #9. The problem is that I get no audio.
I've been searching the web for help for about a week,
and I got the audio to work once and thought that I
knew what fixed it (modprobe saa7134 i2c_scan=1) but
apparently I was wrong about that, and I'm not sure
what really fixed since I had been changing thing for
several hours at that point. I'm using the audio cable
connecting the audio out from the tuner card to the
audio in on the sound card. I've tried connecting my
headphones to the audio out on the tuner card and I
get no sound through the headphones, so I'm assuming
that it's a problem that I'll need to fix with the
module for the tuner card. I've found instructions on
setting up the audio for the tuner card to work over
the PCI bus, but apparently they are old instructions
and the option dsp_nr= is no longer supported. I'm
running Fedora Core 4 and the kernel is
2.6.15-1.1833_FC4. I've tried modprobe saa7134-alsa,
but I get this responce when I try:

FATAL: Error inserting saa7134_alsa
(/lib/modules/2.6.15-1.1833_FC4/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134-alsa.ko):

dmesg)

and when I use dmesg I see:

saa7134_alsa: disagrees about version of symbol

saa7134_alsa: Unknown symbol snd_pcm_new
saa7134_alsa: disagrees about version of symbol

saa7134_alsa: disagrees about version of symbol

I'm new to Linux, and that is probably my biggest
problem, since I don't know much about setting things
up, but I'm assuming that my problem has to do with
saa7134-alsa.ko

Also, I'm using MythTV as the TV program, my sound
card is onboard intel8x0 (and seems to be working fine
which again suggests problems with the tuner setup).
This is what I currently have in my modprobe.conf file
concerning the tuner card:

alias char-major-81 saa7134
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 saa7134
options saa7134 card=34 tuner=9

Again, I'm new to Linux, and the only line that I
really know what it does is the last line (which I
added to the file so I didn't have to modprobe each
time I reboot). I'm really not concerned about
whether I use the audio cable or if the audio works
directly through the PCI bus, either way I can get it
working will make me happy.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
