saa7134 TV Tuner card audio problems

To All:
I tried Jack's suggestion, adapting it for alsa, so that the following
line was typed in before running tvtime:
$ sox -t al -r 8000 -b -c 2 /dev/dsp1 -t al /dev/dsp
It works fine. Only problem: There is a 15-20 second delay between video
and sound. Does anyone know how to fix this?
