KNC One TV Star DVB-S setup trouble

Hi all,

I have the said card in a linux sourcemage box with the kernels 2.6.13 and 
2.6.15.6. lspci -v says:

00:0d.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01)
        Subsystem: KNC One Unknown device 0014
        Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 11
        Memory at f3800000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512]


I have tried to load the saa7134 module and I get

saa7146: register extension 'budget dvb'.
saa7130/34: v4l2 driver version 0.2.14 loaded

but I don't get any of the necessary devices. Klear complains about 

using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
opening frontend failed: No such device

although the device files are there. What am I missing?
