I'll love to - cannot promise too much activity before mid april, though.
Thanks.
properly. The same is also true when running analog/mpeg2 via tvtime

A basic question here (as I didn't see any performance of the card
yet): Will it be possible to
a) grab mpeg2-encoded as well as uncompressed video from analog input/TV?
b) tune the mpeg2 compression in some way (quality)?
a) I'd need to double check that.... Off the top of my head, probably.
b) The implementation still uses the -blackbird module (re-shaped to
share the pci-id), so no changes. You can use the vtlctl tools to issue
ioctls and tune encoder behaviour.
Whilst we are asking questions of this card, I've been thinking of
buying one but haven't been able to find out wether you can
use the encoder on the video/audio in (ie not the analogue tuning
aspect) whilst using the DVB portion of it? For me its functionality
is a lot less if thats not possible?
