bttv - No sound in mplayer

Hi, Mauro

My card is working great now (tuner 69). Yesterday, I made the last test
(reinstalled my previous "official" mplayer version), and it is really
necessary to update mplayer to the cvs version. Otherwise, even with the
latest video4linux snapshot, the sound does not work in kernel 2.6.15 and
2.6.16. Also, snd-bt87x is back to life in 2.6.16, finally.

For me, it is very convenient if I can use kernel modules from ATrpms. The
version there is 20060330. Does this one include the modifications you are
talking about? Also, if anyone could send a warning to Axel Thimm, when it
is advisable to rebuild the modules, it would help a lot of people.
Otherwise,
it is very time consuming to test a new release, since (unless it has
changed in kernel 2.6.16) it is necessary to have the full kernel source
prepared, and not only a Fedora kernel-devel.

I saw by the messages that tuner 69 has been suffering some modifications.
I hope it still is functioning well for me.
In kernel 2.6.16 my card is still recognized as card 72. Therefore, it needs
a new number. Can you give me a number to use in the patch?

When you ask about the revision number, I think you mean open the card,
remove the stickers, and check the real maker. Is that correct?
If so, I can only do that when I change the card from a computer to another,
what should be done after April 17th.

Thanks,

/Paulo Roma.
