Tuning issue with DViCO FusionHDTV DVB-T Plus (ZL10353)

Hi,
Have the same card, using 2.6.17-rc1. In Melbourne, ABC, 7 and 10 are ok.
Nine cannot get FE lock, SBS the lock fluctuates.

Previously using bttv DVB card, and all channels were ok.

Rob.

Greetings,

I am wondering if someone can help with a problem I'm having getting my
DVICO FusionHDTV DVB-T Plus PCI card (ZL10353 chip) to tune to one
particular network here in Canberra, Australia. The card will tune to
all available networks without a problem, except for ABC on 205625000
Hz.

When using the scan utility to generate the channels.conf, tuning the
ABC channels on 205625000 will often fail, and can sometimes take four
or five attempts. I'm using the au-canberra file provided with scan.

Using tzap with the resulting channels.conf file gives the following
output:

[mythtv (at) localhost ~]$ /usr/src/dvico/linuxtv-dvb-apps-1.1.0/util/szap/tzap
"ABC TV"
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 205625000 Hz
video pid 0x0200, audio pid 0x028a

The pattern is consistent for each tzap attempt. snr values will
initially sit around 5353 for about 20 cycles then rise into the f
values and a lock will be achieved for 3-5 cycles. snr values then drop
off to 0000 and stay there.

I've tested the card on a Windows system and have no problems tuning to
ABC channels. I've been testing with rabbit ears and a roof mounted
aerial with pretty much identical results.

The fact that I can tune ABC in Windows suggests that the card and
reception are OK, so I'm wondering if it's an issue with the driver.
I'm using Fedora Core 5 (kernel 2.6.16-1.2111_FC5), and have built the
v4l-dvb modules from v4l mercurial to get the ZL10353 support.

This is one of the last problems to resolve in my mythTV system, and any
help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Aaron.
