you don't have to convince Mauro on that.

You need to talk with Hans, who is publicly visible for everyone since
very long working on it to get ivtv integrated.

There was never such a genius immortal API not finally changed for new
hardware.

If Hans can say he can live with you, fine, else you have to live with
him.
