Hello,
I have few problems with TV tuner/video grabber that goes by the
names: Pinnacle PCTV Analog Pro USB (on the box) and PCTV 150e / 55e
(in the quick start guide).
My cable (and hence antenna) has three PAL channels and the rest (a
dozen) are SECAM. I scanned the range with tvtime-scanner, xawtv's
built-in scanner and also copied my old frequency list from another
computer (which uses some avermedia card), so I'm sure that the
frequencies are valid.
The problem is two fold - PAL channels show up fine, but there's no
audio, SECAM ones (when their norm is set to PAL) are monochrome and
very grainy (and when set to SECAM they are garbled beyond
recognition), again no audio.
While desperately switching the channels (in tvtime) i stumbled upon
one particular one with a black picture but crystal clear audio.
I also built freshly fetched Mercurial sources, but to no avail.
FWIW just for the heck of it several TV capable applications were
tried: xawtv (3.95, 4 beta), tvtime, mplayer.
Just to clear things up, the very same cable/antenna was/is used to
feed avermedia on another machine (i.e signal/frequencies are fine)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
