This writes 0x16 to register 0, 0x70 to register 1 and 0x4b to register 2 of the TDA9887. These values correspond to the values programmed for V4L2_STD_SECAM_DK with automatically muted FM audio and both ports set to active.

Try loading the tda9887 module with port1=0 port2=0

Thing is, i don't have tda9887 loaded at all. And what does "25 62 8e 04 b0" do? I have written small program that pushes those two messages via libusb, and empirically first byte here sets the channel from some preconfigured frequency table. The rest eludes me though.

So i start some TV viewer (xawtv, mplayer, tvtime) and run this program
it switches the channel and "fixes" audio and color standard. Not very
convenient, but a progress nevertheless. Too bad that if ask the TV viewer
to switch channels i get back to no audio and garbled picture.

So inability to set random frequency and those annoying dancing lines at
the top of the picture are the only things that are left (well ofcourse
it would have been nice if i didn't have to resort to suid programs that
send raw usb data just to switch channels)
