xawtv with pvr-250 error message

Hi all, 
I receive this error message when I start xawtv.

mpeg ts: no pids given and no PAT found cant open /dev/video1

I can use pia to watch the stream on the pvr-250

pia -v /dev/video1
playing "/dev/video1"
movie file is "MPEG1/2 program stream"
audio stream: MPEG audio  (at)  48000 Hz
video stream: MPEG video  (at)  720x480

Can someone help me resolve the xawtv error message
