We have installed a D/4PCI card on a Windows 2000 SP2 platform using Katalina Voiceguide software. The PC is 2.4 ghz Pentium 4, 512 Mb Ram, 120 gb HD. All wav files are in the correct Dialogic format: 11,025 Hz, 8 Bit, Mono. Almost everything is working fine except that there is an increased delay between wav files when keys are pressed, as well as, an increased delay in when the current wav file stops playing when a key is pressed (anti-talkoff set to 0). This only gets worse as the number of lines in use increases. To the best of our knowledge it is not the pc, software, or the operating system, as we have tested the same program with a very basic voice modem and these delays are not experienced. Our hope is that there is a setting(s) and/or parameter(s)(s) that can be changed in the dialogic software that would tweak the performance of how the wav files are handled. We've looked through the documentation and see that there are numerous parameters that can be chang!
ed, however, we are unsure of which, if any, may be the cause. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
