Has anyone had any success or problems installing SR 5.1 (with or without the SP) on Red Hat Linux Advanced Server 2.1?
We have an Advanced Server 2.1 system, and are installing SR 5.1 with the service pack on it. As best as I can tell, Advanced Server 2.1 is more or less equivalent to Red Hat 7.2, although with at least some of the packages newer than you will find on a stock 7.2 system.
Any installation or operation problems we should look out for?
We do understand that officially, only 7.2 and 7.3 are supported, but since this seems to be a variant of 7.2, there ought to be a reasonable chance that it will work.
