The R4 API includes the d42_chnstatus() function for checking the on hook/off hook status of a D/82JCT-U or D/42JCT PBX integration voice board. Why would you use this function? Since the ATDX_HOOKST is suppose to work with all voice boards why are there two functions.
The reason I am asking is that at one site, the channel status seems unreliable, and I was wondering if switching to d42_chnstatus() would be more accurate.
