My guess is that this isn't related to poll-frequencies etc., but that it's simply a heap array storing the event-queue, shifting the entire array inefficiently each time the first array-entry is removed or something in the neighborhood.
Or maybe the inefficiency is related to inter-thread/IPC/on-board stuff which requires spin-locks, kernel-mode jumps back and forth etc.
I guess you could spend some time tracing the DLG libraries to see what actually is going on, but shall we leave this for now, Emir? =)
The moral of the story: It would be nice to have at least one low-level Dialogic programmer here to comment on these things.
