ag_unlisten() and nr_scunroute fail on VFX/40 ESC

ag_unlisten() and nr_scunroute() calls fail for a VFX/40ESC board. The functions themselves return success (not -1). But the connection drops off and you can't here any voice prompts on that channel()?

Any ideas how to cure this problem without resetting the board (restarting the system.)
