GlobalCall Protocols 4.2

I am installing SR 5.1.1 SP1 on a Windows machine for a D/4PCI. Should I install the GlobalCall Protocols 4.2 package? I have seen resources out there that say it is not necessary for my card but I wanted to check here. Would it hurt to install them?
